Our Name Reflects The Spirit Of How We Work
Dira
From Sesotho/Setswana, means compass. It represents steadiness, expertise, and reliable direction across a continent rich in diversity. It speaks to our role in helping travellers navigate Africa with confidence. Selecting the right destinations, the right seasons, the right experiences, and trusted partners who deliver exceptional quality.
Anga
From Swahili, means to elevate or ascend. It is a reminder that travel can be transformative when approached with insight and care. It reflects our commitment to experiences that feel refined yet authentic, immersive yet comfortable. Journeys that rise above the ordinary.

Our itineraries are built on trusted relationships across the continent, from family-run lodges and expert guides to conservation partners and local storytellers. These connections enable us to offer experiences that are rich, responsible, and rooted in place.
With more than 15 years of experience working across Southern and East Africa, we understand the nuance of each region. The subtle differences between reserves, how to avoid overcrowded routes, what lodges deliver exceptional guiding, and how to design journeys that flow seamlessly.
No two travellers are alike, and no two journeys should be either. We take time to understand what matters most to each client — pace, comfort, interests, special anniversaries, first-time safaris or seasoned returns — and build an itinerary that feels considered and personal.
Travel in Africa involves multiple layers: flights, transfers, park movements, logistics across remote areas. We manage this complexity carefully so that the journey feels effortless. From the first conversation to the final flight home, we remain your steady point of reference.

Meet The Founder - Annie Lin
Africa has a way of getting under your skin. Its landscapes, its people, its energy, its quiet moments that stay with you long after you’ve returned home.
My name is Annie, and I founded Dira Anga because this continent has shaped my life in ways I never expected.
I first arrived in South Africa as a curious teenager
And what began as a career in luxury travel quickly grew into something deeper: a genuine love for the places I explored and the people who welcomed me into their worlds.
From remote conservancies to coastal towns, bustling cities to wildlife reserves, each journey added another layer to my understanding of what makes Africa so extraordinary.
Based in Cape Town
I’ve spent my career working with leading travel companies such as Jacada Travel and Niarra Travel, managing destinations across Southern and East Africa.
In these roles, I had the privilege of collaborating with incredible lodges, guides, conservationists, and local experts — people whose passion for their home regions is infectious and who continue to inspire the way I design travel today.
Over the years, Africa has taught me what truly matters in a journey
Meaningful encounters, thoughtful planning, the right partnerships, and the space to experience a destination with clarity and intention.
I’ve seen how the right guide can transform a safari, how a lodge’s story can shape your understanding of conservation, and how an unexpected moment — a sunrise, a conversation, a wildlife sighting — can become the highlight of a trip.
My goal is not only to design beautifully crafted itineraries

To help people see Africa the way I’ve come to know it: vibrant, diverse, grounding, and endlessly inspiring.
For me, travel planning is a form of storytelling.
